I was born in June 1976 in Tula. The city of Tula is one of the oldest Russian cities and its pride has always been the manufacture of guns. Possibly due to this fact, citizens of the city have always had an immense interest in technology and modern achievements in science. As long as I can remember, I myself have always wanted to be an engineer or a physicist. And life made it such a way -- when I decided to become a physicist I became an engineer. But later on, working as an engineer I returned to physics. This is the present situation for me: I am a physicist who works in an engineering sphere -– materials science. You may ask, “And where are physics and particles in here?” It is all very easy -– you can study practically everything with particle physics in our modern world!!! So, our group studies internal stresses in different materials with neutron diffraction methods. Thus, I’ve managed to combine two professions in one. And Dubna has become my second home town. Anyone who comes here falls in love with Dubna at first sight.
By all means, science occupies one of the most important parts of my life, but it is not the most important. A year ago my wife and I had a daughter who has become the sole sense of life for me. And if people ask me about the unique aim of my life, I do not hesitate a moment and answer –- my daughter.
Now, anything else besides the beloved daughter, wife and science in my life? Of course, I have my best friends, I like football and volleyball, discussing science and life with a bottle of beer, watching a movie. Not long ago I tried to ski in the mountains. It was fantastic! Now I have a dream for the nearest future –- to go to a ski holiday resort.
