April Fools' and March Madness
How do physicists celebrate April Fools' Day? As Gordon Watts reports, they publish a fake paper. "Serious physics humor, much needed at the end of a really difficult day," he writes. Can you get the joke?

Both Jochen Weller and Bryan Dahmes entered NCAA basketball tournament pools this year, but with very different results. "This year is my worst year," writes Jochen. Bryan writes, "The fun thing every year isn't really winning (although that's a big plus), it's being able to ridicule the other seven guys for their choices."

The season to say "I do"
Quantum Diaries' own Frederic Deliot and his fiancee Chris said "oui" in a red-and-white-themed ceremony in a castle in the mountains. "It's true that one often says that this day is the most beautiful one in a life, in fact, for me, it was!" Frederic writes. Quantum Diarist Sophie Trincaz-Duvoid attended the festivities. "This was a fabulous week-end!" she reports.

New Quantum Diarist Anuj Purwar celebrates the third anniversary of his first date with his bride, Anita. They met on the Internet, where Anuj advertised himself as "Dancing Nuclear Physicist Seeking Smart, Self-Aware Woman." Hey, whatever works.

Finally, Caolionn O'Connell laments that the season for nuptials has arrived, as she has seven to attend before the summer is over. "It's not that I am against marriage as an institution, it seems to work, well...at least 40% of time, but I hate weddings," she writes.
